In the P’sukei D’zimra we says:

רוֹצֶה ה׳ אֶת־יְרֵאָיו אֶת־הַמְיַחֲלִים לְחַסְדּוֹ,  Hashem Wants those who revere Him, those who hope in His Chesed. (Tehillim 147:11)

Who are those that revere Hashem?  Those who hope in His Chesed.

What does הַמְיַחֲלִים , hope mean?

The Ibn Ezra connects the root word of הַמְיַחֲלִים, “yachal”,  יחל to the word  תחלה

beginning. (Beraishis 8:10).   (Harav Simcha L Weinberg , Class 2023)

Rabeinu Bachya points out in Parshas Korach that we learn from Moshe Rabbeinu and Aharon that we must always first begin with Hashem’s Praises before making our requests. They began their Tefillah to Hashem after the episode with Korach saying: וַיִּפְּלוּ עַל־פְּנֵיהֶם וַיֹּאמְרוּ אֵ-ל אֱ-לֹקֵי הָרוּחֹת.They fell on their faces and said, The Power, The Source of all powers of the winds.  Rabbeinu Bachya describes them praising Hashem from all the six directions of the wind encompassing all; His power to destroy a multitude instantly and the ability to distinguish each individual spirit and heart, knowing who was guilty and not.  Quite different from a human ruler.

It is for this reason that we begin our Amida Prayer by praising Hashem with the first three brachos devoted to Hashem’s Praises, and Mighty deeds.

I think that we can recite the first three brachos of the Amidah as an expression of הַמְיַחֲלִים לְחַסְדּוֹ,  Hoping in His Chesed.  Remembering and connecting to His First Thought , meaning descriptives of His enactment of His Chesed  as an expression of His First Thoughts Kavyachol.

The more we can express Hashem’s Praises, connecting to His Chesed, the more we can revere Him and be considered  יְרֵאָיו.

I believe the reason the words are אֶת, before the word יְרֵאָיו and הַמְיַחֲלִים is because those who successfully find ways to take no matter what we are dealing with and process until we find His Chesed, His Love, will be ones who can keep all of Torah from Letters Aleph through Taf.

By, the dor Hapilaga, the wording of  וְזֶה הַחִלָּם לַעֲשׂוֹת, this is how the have begun to act.

(Beraishis 11:6).  The same root word יחל is in this verse. I think this is an example of it being chas v’shalom corrupted. These were people who sought to uproot The Source of All Chesed, the Only Power, they sought to uproot a world created through Hashem Kavyachol gazing into the Torah;  אִסְתָּכַּל בָּהּ בְּאוֹרַיְיתָא, וּבָרָא עָלְמָא. (Zohar Terumah 61) ;  a world created with the letters of Aleph through Taf.  When we look into the Torah and labor in Torah, to seek Hashem’s Ways, We find His Chesed,  a world created with Chesed, His Torah.   We can connect to the beginning Chesed of Hashem teaching us all of Torah in the womb.

When we daven the Amidah, we can focus and work on learning and articulating Hashem’s Chesed to protect us from seeking Kavod inappropriately as did Korach Chas V’shalom and instead may we be zoche to be  in a class of people who revere Hashem; who preserves the entire world.
