Geula-Praying for Rain

רְאֵה נָא בְעָנְיֵֽנוּ, וְרִיבָֽה רִיבֵֽנוּ, וּמַהֵר לְגָאֳלֵֽנוּ גְאוּלָּה שְׁלֵמָה לְמַֽעַן שְׁמֶֽךָ, כִּי אֵל גּוֹאֵל חָזָק אָֽתָּה: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהְוְהְ, גּוֹאֵל יִשְׂרָאֵל

“Behold, please, our affliction & fight our battle, & speedily redeem us, [with] a complete redemption, for Your Name. For You G·d, are a mighty Redeemer, Blessed are You L·rd, Redeemer of Yisrael.”

The blessing of redemption is unique to me in that the nekuda under the the four letter name of God is the shva. The shva  looks like a colon, and it is a silent vowel so to speak. To me geula is a period of overcoming moments where Hashem seems to me to be silent to what I am going through; He takes a step back and awaits my input; God hides his face, to let me shine. I see this in the creation story. In Genesis 2:5, God does not send rain for the vegetation to sprout. Rashi comments “And what is the reason that God had not caused it to rain? כי אדם אין לעבוד את האדמה BECAUSE THERE WAS NO MAN TO TILL THE GROUND, and there was, therefore, no one to recognize the utility of rain. When Adam came (was created), however, and he REALIZED that it was necessary for the world, he prayed for it and it fell, so that trees and verdure sprang forth.” To me, Hashem not sending the rain is Hashem being silent and waiting for Adam to take on his role.
